Little alpaca free crochet pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: Adelia Sofia #31 (pink) or #32 (turquoise), YarnArt Jeans #03 (milk), #51 (red), #62 (white), #74 (pink)
• Yarn for muzzle: Alize Softy (white)
• Hook size: 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm for Adelia
• 7 mm half beads
• Felt for eyes and ears (you can crochet them)
• Stitch marker
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R = row
mc = magic circle
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
dec3 = single crochet 3 stitches together
FLO = front loop only
F.o. = finish off
(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
(…) x6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

Head
With Adelia Sofia yarn and 3.0 mm crochet hook:

Legs (make 4)
With white yarn:
R 1: 5 sc in mc (5)
R 2: (inc) x5 (10)
R 3-9: 10 sc (7 rows)
Stuff with fiberfill.
Sl st and leave a long tail for sewing.
Fold top of leg flat and sew across with needle and thread to close the leg.

Eyes (make 2)
With white yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
R 2: (inc) x6 (12)
Sl st and leave a long tail for sewing.

Ears (make 2)
With white yarn:
Leave a 15 cm long tail.
Make 3 ch.
R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 2 sc, 1 turning chain (2)
R 2: 2 sc, 1 turning chain
R 3: 2 inc, 1 turning chain (4)
R 4-5: 4 sc, 1 turning chain
R 6: inc, 2 sc, inc, 1 turning chain (6)
R 7: 6 sc, 1 turning chain
R 8: 2 sc, inc, 3 sc, 1 turning chain (7)
R 9: dec, 3 sc, dec, 1 turning chain (5)
R 10: dec, 1 sc, dec (3)
1 ch and sc around the ear, make inc in the edges (4 increases in total).
Sl st and f.o.

Muzzle
With Alize Softy yarn (white):
Make 4 ch.
Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 2 sc, 3 sc in last st, turn and crochet on the opposite side of the chain: 1 sc, inc (8)
R 2: inc, 1 sc, 3 inc, 1 sc, 2 inc (14)
R 3-4: 14 sc (2 rows)
Sl st and leave a long tail for sewing.

Embroider nose with black floss.

Sew all details together.

Heart (make 2)
With red yarn:
Make 3 ch.
R 1: From the 2nd ch from hook: 2 sc, 1 turning chain
R 2: 2 inc, 1 turning chain (4)
R 3: inc, 2 sc, inc, 1 turning chain (6)
R 4: 6 sc, 1 turning chain
R 5: 3 sc, 1 turning chain
R 6: dec3
F.o.

Attach yarn to the other side and crochet:
R 1: 3 sc, 1 turning chain
R 2: dec3

Fold together two pieces with inner part (wrong side to wrong side) and sc around edges of ear.

Frill
With white yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
R 2: (inc) x6 (12)
R 3: (inc, 1 sc) x6 (18)
R 4: (inc, 2 sc) x6 (24)
R 5: FLO: (inc, 4 sc in one st) repeat to the end of row

Attach the yarn to the back side of the frill. Make 42 ch and sl st.

Sew the heart to the frill.
